J.J. Sakurai (1933-1982),一位杰出的物理学家。1933年生于东京,1955年毕业于美国哈佛大学,1958年在康乃尔大学获得博士学位。在康乃尔大学学习期间,独立地发现了弱相互作用的V-A(矢量减轴矢量)理论。1959年在芝加哥大学任助理教授,1964年升为正教授。1970年加入到美国加州大学洛杉矶分校物理系。曾任斯隆研究员(1962-1966),美国物理学会高级成员(1964-1982),古根海姆研究员(1975-1976),以及洪堡研究员(1981-1982)。1982年死于瑞士日内瓦。著有《高等量子力学》(1967)和《现代量子力学》(1985)。内页插图
